Merciful Forgiveness

It is Monday again. šŸ™‚ And I am going to preach to the choir today.

Stop beating yourself up for old or new mistakes.

We may love the wrong person & cry about the wrong things, or make really crazy decisions in a moment of weakness. However we want to wrap it all up, it boils down to the same thing – we screwed up. But no matter what, one thing is for sure – mistakes help us find out who we are, where we may need to take a closer look into what makes us tick & the things that are right for us. And the things that are very wrong for us. Phew. Duly noted.

Shame has wrapped itself around me in a choke-hold before. Sending me into an abyss of self-loathing & Oh-God-what-did-I-do… And why? A question worth asking.

We all make mistakes, we all have struggles, and we all regret things in our far & recent past. LISTEN UP: You are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day, your week & your future. Each morning we get a do-over. Each morning God says His mercies are new.

Every single thing, every epic-fail, & every person that has come into your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to be, but it shall be. Even when they are sent from what seems like straight out of the pit – God says He will use it for our good. We just have to be willing to let Him do it.

If you are single & made up of even 1/2 the twisted stuff that I am, you know it’s going to take a special person to handle that & compliment it. And I’m just crazy enough to believe he is out there, even in my unbelief.

Peace y’all – & contentment whilst we wait.

Much love & forgiveness of ourselves – because we have already been Forgiven,
