The Work Of Waiting & Keeping Hope Alive

This weekend was one of the better weekends. It started out Friday evening with going to see The Shack with my sister & one of my best friends. It is by far one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. And to me it exemplifies who God really is in our lives. And what His Love looks like. One thing I will not do is get into a doctrinal discussion with anyone. If you have negative comments please post them somewhere else. I’m just sayin’.

Saturday and Sunday were both spent very close to home & quite leisurely. I watch several movies & my heart was stirred yet again.

Just in a different way.

Last night I was lamenting to the Lord about some of it. Like it just felt right -the perfect time to do so. What I’m saying is I think there are times when it’s just THE moment to lay something down. Again. At least for me that’s how it seems to go.

After I was done with my snot session that ended with such thankfulness for how blessed I feel – I picked up my Jesus Calling devotional & turned to yesterday’s entry.

Not surprising in the least, it spoke directly to what I had just handed over. I encourage you to take these words below in regarding anything that you may be waiting on.

I don’t know how people stay in peace or have any joy it all apart from a relationship with God. Without His Love & guidance I am sure I would be somewhere I do not belong at all. Doing things that have little or no life in them. Period. I know me, & if anyone needed a Savior it was this ol’ girl right here.

The dreams in my heart that are still alive after waiting for what feels like so long have helped carry me to this place. Had I not gone through what I’ve been through I would not be anywhere near where I am today. Or who I am. I told God last night how incredibly grateful I am for this journey. For all of it – the good, the bad, the ugly & the beautiful.

Much love y’all & may the dying embers of hope in your hearts be warmed into a comforting flame this morning,

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28
