Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
Boy, am I grappling with this right now. I am reading it daily, & asking God to forgive me for still struggling with being anxious.
I am trying.
In less than 3 weeks something is coming that needs serious attention. I am asking God to fling wide the exact right door for my son, one that he needs in a big, big way. Things needs to fall into place very specifically for him. I want hope & peace to wrap themselves around him like a favorite blanket & for him to be surrounded with other people who will encourage & support him.
Lord, You are a miracle working & mighty, mighty Good Father.
You love my son far more than I ever can.
Thank You for covering him & protecting him & ordering his steps. Thank You for opening doors no man can shut & closing doors no man can open. I will always praise You for what You have done in his life, and in mine. Even if You never did another thing – You have done far more than we deserve.
I am flat on my face in humility before all that You are, in spite of all that I am not. You are worthy, so worthy God.
In Jesus’ wonderful, unfathomable & miracle-working name,
