My Everything

From one of the devotions I receive ~

“I know that you have been feeling a little off balance with a sense of instability. But, I tell you the truth, you are in My hands and I am completely reliable. You can put your trust in Me to bring you through this rocky time. Do not be afraid. I know all about your situation and the fears that have risen up to shake you out of faith. I am with you.”
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. -James 1:17
I have been feeling a little off the last few days. On the heels of a sweet period of finding my footing again after that recent fiery trial. And I tell you, God has been faithful to encourage & continue to send me messages that He is watching over me, covering me & leading me.

Just last night I had dinner with a long-time friend & mentor. She gave me an early birthday gift – a book & journal. And she prefaced it by saying it will change my life. I cannot wait to get knee deep in it. And I can already sense the change a’coming.

After I left her, as I made my way to the car – I just wept. In unadulterated gratitude. I knew God had sent her to me at just the right time. There were too many specific things said that were exactly what I needed – she could have never known apart from His leading. A good & perfect gift, just for me.

That is the God we serve. He cares about the little & the big things. He stops the fruition of weapons formed against us. He quenches those damnable fiery darts & lifts our head when we are weary from the battle. He restores our tattered soul & mends our broken heart, just when we think we cannot bear it another moment.

I will sing of Your Love forever, Oh God.
My Savior, My Redeemer, My every Hallelujah.
You are Everything & I am absolutely nothing apart from You.
Thank you Jesus.

Much love y’all,
