Staying Present

I am sharing with you a word I received this morning. It is one in due season for me – & I am willing to bet for many of you.

Prepare yourself for a brand new day. The slate has been wiped clean, and you can make every day pristine. I will show you the way. Stay present with Me by not thinking too far ahead or dwelling on the past, and refuse to allow fear to overshadow your hope and trust in Me.
Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! – Revelation 19:6b

“Stay present with Me by not thinking too far ahead or dwelling on the past…” That is what I am trying to do right now.
When thoughts scuttle through my mind like rats at 2am trying to find a home for the night – I am doing my very best to re-focus on God & His promises to me. Rather than re-playing scenes from my life that brought me no good in the end. Rather than trying to wrap my attled brain around the whys & wherefors. To put the past behind me & stop trying to figure out or predict the future (an exercise in futility to begin with -you know, the whole “Many are the plans of man” thing….)

I am so grateful God orders my steps. Because if left up to me, I’d be off wandering somewhere I ought not. Falling down another well or into another ditch. God help me. I need You.
You alone are what makes me solid. Apart from that I can do nothing of any measure.

I don’t know about y’all but am looking more than forward to a new year. And what it holds for me.
And for all of you.
God is so good to us, in spite of us.

Hallelujah Lord. You reign above all these things that have so easily beset us. Strengthen us & our resolve right now, I pray. Give us wisdom above our tattered hearts & help us to make the best decisions today. Give us the grace to say “No.” To say “Enough.” And to say “Yes” when it’s time – even if we have to do it afraid. Give us peace & joy in the presence of the enemy, making an open display of Your Great Love for us. You are worthy of all our praise. All. Our. Praise.

In Jesus’ name,

Much love y’all & the revelation that His plans for us are so much better than our own,
