Turning In Our Tickets…

It’s like a plane ticket we hand over the counter to head out on our dream vacation then we take it back & then we hand it over again, only to change our minds once more. We really want to go there, we do. But then life happens & the tides turn & we doubt. We wonder. We wander. We squirm. We survey the scene & it looks grim. I mean, really grim. We wake up at 3am with that catch in our chests, in panic.
Or maybe it’s just me.

I really, really know God is able but I also know that it takes some cooperation on our part. He gave us the gift of free will & choice and for that, things don’t necessarily always go like we would want.

Yet miracles still happen. They do. I have seen it.

I am looking for one now for someone I love more than I can explain.
With a death grip on my ticket.

Join me – let’s turn those tickets in.
Let’s try to rest while we wait.
Let’s try to enjoy life without feeling guilty for doing it.

Let’s give ourselves permission to take a vacation from fear & doubt & worry.

I Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (NIV)

Philippians 4:6-7, “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” (MSG)

Much love & trust in peace y’all,
REAL peace ~
