What Matters, What Doesn’t & The Truth In Between

“My child, the troubles and temptations of your life are beginning, and may be many; but you can overcome and outlive them all if you learn to feel the strength and tenderness of your Heavenly Father as you do that of your earthly one. The more you love and trust Him, the nearer you will feel to Him, and the less you will depend on human power and wisdom. His love and care never tire or change, can never be taken from you, but may become the source of lifelong peace, happiness, and strength. Believe this heartily, and go to God with all your little cares, and hopes, and sins, and sorrows, as freely and confidingly as you come to your mother.” – Little Women

For whatever reason lately I have been drawn to quotes from Little Women. They speak to me & where I am, where I have been & assuredly where I am going.

There is no real use in hiding behind what is, what was, what might be. Be loud inside to yourself & out in the open with your truth. Stuffing things makes us sick – getting them out makes us free. Pretending to be something we aren’t is suffocating – confession of who we really are is freeing. If someone doesn’t like who you are or where you are it’s ok – let them be. If they continue to push their agenda for you & on you without your asking – lay down your own sword before it’s wielded & walk away. If you are a person of faith like me, then you understand that your only judge does not walk this earth. And He is full of love & mercy & forgiveness – & never-ever any condemnation for those who believe.  ❤

Much love & truth – freedom & safety,
